I have no idea how I'm even up after my first class.
I know that all sounds like I hated it, but to be truthful...I freaking LOVED it! Soul Cycle is currently offering one free class through the 26th of September so we rallied the troop and met up this morning for our first experience with Soul Cycle. I initially saw a video with Kelly Ripa trying it out a few years ago and it looked like a fun time. Fast forward a few years and pounds later and there we were, clipping into a bike and slightly terrified of the next hour.
The trainer kept the energy up the whole way through encouraging everyone to not stop and stay at the same pace as your fellow cyclists. I felt like a heaving dog by the end of class with sweat dripping down places I didn't even think were possible. I was seriously so exhausted that I found it hard to unclip myself from my bike, there was no way in hell I could pull the strength to shimmy my feet off.
BUT, all four of us survived and were able to make our way next door walking like new born deer to Local Foods for a healthy meal. Would I go back??? Most definitely! After all, a wise woman once said,
"Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don’t shoot their husbands, they just don’t." ;)
