This week's reading material

Pre-thanksgiving movie night!
To those of you who might not know what Thanksgiving in the States is, I'll explain quickly. It's the day when we are SUPPOSED to reflect on the things we are thankful for, hence the name. What it has TURNED INTO is a day when we stuff our faces with the fattiest (America right?) and most delicious food before sunset so that people can rush to stores and shop for things that don't really matter at a discounted price. I know I sound like I hate it, but I actually partake every now and then, HA! In the past few years I've scored a set of Jenga (yes the game) and a red dress I never wore. Did I need those things? Not at all. Was it what I was looking for? Not at all. Was I looking for anything in particular? Nope! Were people animals and invade my every inch of personal space? Yes, of course they did. This year I will be tagging along with a friend so wish me luck and best of luck to you all in case you participate as well!

This year, I am really just thankful for one main thing...HEALTH. I don't like to discuss my day job at all really, but I happen to work in a great environment that deals with a difficult subject...children with disabilities. The families and children are really incredible at dealing with what I feel is probably every parents worst nightmare, to see your child struggle or suffer. I myself don't have any human children but I don't feel like I have to have any in order to appreciate how good we have it. So, if today you woke up in a great state of health, be thankful. I know I am :)

What are you thankful for?

Talk soon and Happy Thanksgiving!

P.S. I know my pictures are unrelated but I didn't feel the need to share pictures of a meal most will have right on their dinner table ;)
